Tampines Shines Because of You – A Heartfelt Tribute to Our Cleaners 2025

Behind every clean walkway and tidy block in Tampines is a dedicated team of estate cleaners who work quietly and tirelessly to keep our town beautiful. This month, we put the spotlight on them and say a heartfelt thank you — Tampines Shines Because of You.

We invite you to join us in celebrating these unsung heroes. Share a short story (up to 150 words) about how an estate cleaner has made a difference in your daily life. Whether it’s a kind gesture, a moment of connection, or simply the impact of their work, your story matters. Include a photo with the cleaner(s) to capture a moment of appreciation. Bonus point if you include a ‘before-and-after’ photo showing the improvements they have made in your estate!

Every submission is a reminder that our cleaners’ hard work, care, and commitment make Tampines a cleaner, warmer, and more welcoming home for all.

The best 10 stories will each receive a $30 shopping voucher and be showcased on Tampines Town Council’s social media. Submit your entry by 14th October, 2359!

• Criteria:
• Stories must be original and relevant to the theme -
  "Tampines Shines Because of You.”
• Submissions should highlight personal experience or observation of estate cleaners making a difference. Submit your entry via the online form
• Participants should include a photo with the cleaner(s). Bonus points will be awarded if they also provide a ‘before-and-after’ photo showing the improvements made in their estate.
• Each participant can submit only one entry

1. All entries must be submitted by 2359 on 14 October 2025.
2. The competition is open to all (Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents and foreigners) and participation is free.
3. Participants should be at least 12 years old.
4. Participants under the age of 18 years old as of 1 Oct 2025 must obtain consent of parents or legal guardians and by participating in this Contest, it is deemed that consent has been obtained.
5. All entries must be original and relevant to the theme.
6. Entries must not contain inappropriate or offensive content.
7. Plagiarised entries or content copied from other sources will be disqualified.
8. Each participant can submit only one (1) entry.
9. Tampines Town Council reserves the right to exclude or disqualify any entries that do not meet the requirement. Eg, Photos generated or edited by AI are not allowed.
10. Winners may be interviewed by Tampines Town Council. All winners consent to public disclosure of their names and results of the contest.
11. All entries will be evaluated by the committee and all decisions are final. No correspondences or appeals will be entertained.
12. Tampines Town Council reserves the right to make any changes to the Terms and Conditions set out herein and any other arrangements concerning the competition.
