Online Bicycle Identification System (BIDS)

What is BIDS?

BIDS is an online bicycle identification system initiated by Tampines Town Council and Tampines Grassroots Organisations. This online registry works with the bicycle security labels issued by the Neighbourhood Police Centres (NPCs). This system is only meant for Tampines residents.

How it works

  • Bicycle owners residing in Tampines can check with their residents' committee (RC) centre for the collection of your bicycle security labels. Each bicycle will be entitled a pair of security labels and bicycle owners will have to bring along their bicycles to collect the labels.
  • After registering the codes in BIDs, the security labels should be placed on the crossbar and head tube of the bicycle. (as shown in the diagram below)

  • For bicycle owners who owned more than one bicycle, you are encouraged to get one set of security labels for each of your bicycles.
  • If your bicycles are suspected stolen, you may log in BIDS and indicate that it is stolen. Please note that you would still need to make a police report on your stolen bicycle.
