Today, Tampines has transformed into a place that its residents can be proud to call home. One of the first regional town centres in Singapore, Tampines has become a well-established, self-sufficient town with comprehensive facilities. Supermarkets, banks and numerous eateries dot the town, giving residents these much-needed conveniences at their doorstep. At the same time, a stable of 12 primary schools, 9 secondary schools, a junior college and 2 tertiary institutions cater to the educational needs of Tampines’ young.

In a bid to continually enhance the community’s living environment; numerous upgrading programmes are carried out each year. These include projects which improve residential flats such as the lift upgrading and home improvement programmes, as well as projects that impact their immediate vicinity like the Neighbourhood Renewal Programme. Together, these programmes work towards providing better amenities, more covered linkways and lifts on every floor for all residents.

Moving forward, Tampines continues to keep up with the growing needs and aspirations of its residents. As Singapore’s first cycling town, work is already underway to widen existing footpaths and construct new cycling paths. As part of the plan to “green” Tampines, there will be landscaping at strategic locations and the rooftops of multi-storey carparks and a new Eco Park at Tampines Avenue 12.

Improving connectivity, the completion of the Downtown Line 3 in 2017 will complement the existing Rapid Transit System and significantly reduce travelling time for commuters.

Bringing the future closer, we aim to build the best home possible for the generations to come.
